Cognitive Professional Services Inc. is seeking a qualified Office Clerk to support the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the Northern District of Texas (NDTX). The USAO is responsible for prosecuting all Federal criminal cases and defending the Federal Government in civil actions in the 100 counties in the northern part of Texas. After receiving basic training on USAO-specific office procedures, software programs, and equipment, the Office Clerk will be required to perform a number of receptionist, administrative, and clerical tasks.

Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have the ability to prove U.S. citizenship.
Security Requirement: Successfully pass a Background Investigation (BI).
Experience: Must possess at least one years’ experience providing office support and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities: After receiving basic training on USAO-specific office procedures, software programs, and equipment, the Office Clerk will be required to assist USAO Support Staff with:
Coordinating front-desk activities through greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing guests appropriately using the USAO paging system.
Assists with verifying identification of guests, logging them into the visitors badging system, and issuing visitor badges.
Assists with screening and forwarding incoming phone calls throughout the USAO.
Assists with receiving and sorting incoming and outgoing mail deliveries.
Assists with security by following office safety procedures and protocols for office visitors.
Assists the Administrative and Budget Officers with some other miscellaneous administrative support tasks, i.e., coping projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess at least one years’ experience providing office support and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of personal networked computers including Windows 10 and networked printers
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe PDF
Experience working directly with a variety of technical and non-technical users
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Ability to deliver high quality work under deadlines
