About the role:
As a Database Administrator II,you'll have the opportunity to manage the large, mission critical eCommerce database system that handles tens of billions of transactions per year with high availability.

You will also build strong relationships with hundreds of software engineers as internal customers by helping them on database design and SQL tuning.

About the team:
Our team of skilled Db2 and PostgreSQL DBAs provides full stack database services including design, deploy, configure and tuning, HADR and replication, troubleshooting etc. against development, stage, QA, production, and disaster recovery systems.

We are approachable, attentive to detail and problem solvers.

What you will be doing?

In this role you will be sharing the same responsibility as other dbas and cover each other to provide day to day supports for IBM Db2 LUW and PostgreSQL.

• DBMS related software Installation, configuration, tuning, patching, and upgrading.
• Trouble shooting performance issues for production and non-production environments.
• Maintain system monitors to catch and response to alerts proactively. Plan system capacity to full-fill business growth.
• Setup and supervise the HA and DR systems for critical systems
• Day to day support our engineers for questions, DDLs, SQL tunings, etc.

What you will need:

• 8 more years of database administrators with strong hands-on experience, preferably IBM Db2 LUW and PostgreSQL.
• Solid skills in Linux and shell scripting.
• Very sophisticated skill and calm when doing troubleshooting.
• Very responsible, willing to own tasks and be able to deliver in time.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science

Good to have AWS RDS, Cassandra knowledge.
