Job Description

Job Summary 

The Payroll Tax Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our company's payroll tax filings and reporting. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to withholding, depositing, and reporting federal, state, and local payroll taxes. You will work closely with the Payroll team and other departments to maintain compliance with complex tax regulations and deadlines. This position is located in Irving, TX. 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Process and verify employee payroll tax forms (W-4, W-9, etc.).
  • Calculate and withhold federal, state, and local payroll taxes, including income, Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment taxes.
  • Prepare and file timely and accurate quarterly and annual payroll tax returns (941, 940, W-2, etc.).
  • Deposit payroll taxes electronically and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor and research changes in tax regulations and update payroll systems accordingly.
  • Generate reports for management on payroll tax activity.
  • Assist with troubleshooting payroll tax related issues and answer employee inquiries.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of all payroll tax activities.
  • May assist with other payroll tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll tax processing or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll tax software, such as ADP, UKG, or Ceridian.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

“The pay range for this position starts at $55,000 Annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.”
