KRI Assessment Manager
This position will manage the maintenance and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework with a focus on associated risk metrics tracking, risk training and risk governance. The position will develop and ensure appropriate maintenance of common reporting, content formats and templates for risk related KRI reporting and analysis governance documents and other Enterprise-Wide risk related reporting. The position will also interface with risk committees and other lines of business to manage and coordinate the documentation and implementation of various risk related KRIs, monitoring processes and other reporting that are in line with Comerica's Enterprise Risk Management Framework goals and objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
Management of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Key Risk Indicator (KRI) Standard
  • Ensure KRI Standard is well documented, aligned with regulatory expectations and industry standards, and supports the risk assessment activities across all risks of the organization through appropriate hierarchies.
  • Identify opportunities for improved alignment with the ERM Framework within first and second lines of defense and work with those Business Units to achieve.
  • Manage and ensure appropriate processes for change control and continuously enhance the Processes, Procedures and system for KRI governance including recommendations to changes for streamlined governance and reporting.
Management of Enterprise Risk Metrics
  • Identification and reporting on Enterprise Level KRIs/limits.
  • Maintenance of Strategic Limits file; Quarterly risk reporting to Executive management and linkage of strategic limits to Risk Appetite.
Enterprise Risk KRI Governance & Documentation
  • Coordination with various Policy owners and ongoing reviews of charters, policies and frameworks that go to EWRM/ERC for approval to ensure KRI metric alignment with ERM Framework, appropriate escalation procedures and common formatting as appropriate along with reviews of other risk related documents as necessary.
  • Maintenance of updates or alignment across KRI solutions, processes or metrics, as applicable to streamline process and ensure consistent KRI tracking.
  • Document and maintain processes and procedures for Enterprise KRI Standards and other appropriate Enterprise Risk Policies that are in alignment with regulatory expectations and industry standards.
  • Create ad hoc reporting as necessary to support Enterprise Risk Assessment, Implementation and Governance department for various Committee and Board updates.
  • Enterprise Experience in analysis and development of policies, standards, regulatory risk, procedures, and enterprsie level reporting Risk Training.
  • Facilitate and support updates to KRI Program and solution training and awareness on related topics for all three lines of defense.
Other Ad Hoc Projects and Support
  • Provide input, feedback and challenge to various Risk Assessment Owners and Risk Assessment teams as the organization aims to align these processes.

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience. Preferred to be in finance, accounting or related business management field; Master degree preferred
  • 8 years of experience in the financial services industry reviewing trends, making recommendations based on findings, anayzing risks and creating mitigation strategies
  • 7 years of progressive experience in performing high level risk assessment, particularly as it applies to the financial services industry
  • 5 years of experience in analysis and development of policies, standards, regulatory risk, procedures, and enterprsie level reporting
