Research Manager

Job Description Summary

The Dallas Research Manager reports to the Senior Director of Americas Central Region. This position will be provide oversight for key projects throughout the Americas and support key markets that require a high level of research expertise and executive support. The Dallas Research Manager will develop and implement high-level trainings, help create new strategies and assist in hiring and mentoring regional and local staff. This role coordinates research activity across service lines and property types.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Provides Management Functions for Research Team-

  • Supports overarching hiring, training, supervision and mentoring of staff
  • Oversees and directs local quarterly data compilation and statistical production including forecasting and client requests
  • Appropriately staffs projects based on level of effort and expertise required for projects
  • Ensures research teams are meeting needs of local fee-earners

Leads Market Thought Leadership-

  • Provides research information for use by Managing Principal and fee earners in media interviews
  • Speaks directly to local media for interviews
  • Works with Marketing to publicize market trends and analysis to social media platforms and website
  • Makes recommendations for the design and development of new products and services
  • Manages the production and distribution of analytical research materials
  • Due to increased years of experience, performs higher level, more in-depth analysis and written reports than at the Senior Analyst/Analyst level

Support Pitches and/or Proposals-

  • Participates in development of local requests for research information including market stats and analysis for prospecting, pitch and/or proposal materials
  • Attends, participates in and presents market information and quarterly updates at branch sales meetings, client pitches and presentations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA or master's degree in research, economics, real estate or another related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate industry or research-related field
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience managing remotely or across several locations.
  • Expertise in Excel a plus
  • Experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau a plus
  • Adaptability/change/fast pace: ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage processes in a fast-changing environment
  • Resourcefulness/initiative: ability to successfully resolve problems with minimal direction
