Job Description

Title: Quality Director
Location: Mansfield, Texas

The Director of Quality is responsible for planning and directing quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives. Establishes, monitors and maintains quality control systems. Ensures the company stays audit ready and maintains distributor certifications. The Quality Director manages the Quality organization.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Plan, implement and maintain management systems and company registration to standards.
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge of quality control principles and QA audit functions.
* Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and leadership for the overall quality direction of the corporation and the effectiveness of the Quality Management System, including ISO 9001 and AS9100, ISO14001.
* Serve as Management Representative under the Quality Management System.
* Provide Leadership and guidance and create a culture that is based on continuous process improvements.
* Manage external auditors by Registers and Customers.
* Communicate effectively with groups inside and outside the organization including customers, employees, government agencies and other outside parties.
* Perform and report audits of the company and suppliers.
* Create and sustain a culture that is based on continuous process improvement.
* Analyze data and prepare reports to measure and monitor Quality standards.
* Implement methods to enforce quality standards.
* Develops and maintains a productive work teams by hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance.
* Manages teams with integrity, ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures, and practices.
* Customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full-time employees or their equivalent. Makes suggestions and recommendation for these employees regarding performance, including hiring, transfer, advancement, and termination.
* Manages daily operations to meet department and company objectives.
* Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments.
* Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
* Initiates, establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures, and at all levels.
* Extremely confidential and trustworthy.
* Demonstrates knowledge, experience and understanding of critical job function of the team and people management.
* Assists management with development of results oriented strategies.
* Regular attendance at work is an essential part of the job.


SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS


* Trained as Quality System Lead Auditor and instructor for Quality.
* Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and teaching skills.
* Read, analyze and interpret management standards and other standards.
* Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
* Proven track record of implementing quality programs.
* Extensive knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures.
* Write reports, business correspondence and presentations.
* Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication and telephone etiquette. Able to communicate with people at all levels.
* Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization.
* PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Tableau, SharePoint, and other software.
* Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager/Engineer a plus.
* Six sigma green a plus.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's Degree is typically expected.
* Internal candidates: Minimum of 5 years total management experience, including a minimum 3 years as an exceptional performing Mouser Manager.
* External candidates: Minimum 6 years of total management experience, including 4 years experience as a manager or higher-level management position. Exceptional references required.
* Degree in engineering or quality or process a plus.
