  • Operate silicone extruders and monitor for proper product quality
  • Review schedule for production requirements and plan job duties accordingly
  • Mill silicone per specification and prep hose for extrusion
  • Set up extruder for vertical, horizontal extruded wrap and horizontal manual wrap according to
  • manufacturing specifications
  • Cut and send test samples to lab for product quality control
  • Measure actual OD of base hose, review maximum/minimum OD for silicone covered hose and review
  • wall thickness requirement
  • Record all necessary data for traceability and conformance to specifications
  • Provide Hose Coiling with reeled products for inspection
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5s practices
  • Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
  • Report production issues to Direct Lead
  • Perform work of an equal or lower classification

  • High School Diploma or GED, recognizes International Diplomas (may need to be translated to English)
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent residency status required
  • One (1) year experience in a manufacturing facility preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to operate department equipment and obtain certification for running silicone mill
  • Must be able to work and communicate with peers
  • Must be able to adapt to production needs to satisfy customer demands
  • Must be able to multitask with various job duties
  • Must be able to read work orders and interpret manufacturing specifications, understand and use shop math, use and interpret measuring instruments (pi tape and calipers)
  • Must be able to write legibly, read and speak English
  • Basic understanding of lean fundamentals preferred

Physical & PPE Requirements:

Standing, bending, climbing, dragging, carrying, pulling, lifting (up to 80 lbs.), walking, work under cold to normal conditions. Exposure to inproclean 3800, methanol, chemlock, silicone, silane, and silica. Must wear apron, face shield and long gloves when dipping hose. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and ear plugs (85-90 dB) are all required PPE when working in the mfg. plant. All PPE provided by Company.
