Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience managing EEO Policies & Programs.
  • Experience with Preparing and Filing EEO-1 & VETS-4212 Reports.
  • Experience with Affirmative Action Planning.
  • Experience with Workplace Accommodations in Accordance with the ADA.


Primary Duties
.
1. Provides guidance and policy interpretation, formulates recommendations based on Company policy, procedure and practice, and acts as a liaison on matters pertaining to employee relations.
2. Responds to employee inquiries, provides consultative services, and interfaces directly with vendor organizations in order to reach prompt resolution of escalated issues.
3. Prepares or coordinates the timely completion of Human Resources employment transactions via interaction with supervisors/managers and Dallas Human Resources.
4. Coordinates case management with the Company's workers' compensation and disability vendor to monitor claim processing and support the employee's return to work.
5. Coordinates the local administration of the alcohol and drug testing programs.
6. Identifies the need for new and/or modified policies, procedures, or programs to address changing business requirements and/or operational requirements and makes recommendations accordingly.
7. Develops and assists with the delivery of Human Resources-related communications, presentations and training to supervisors/managers and employees.
8. Collaborates with supervisors/managers in the employee selection process by networking with local referral sources, engaging outside recruiting resources, and participating in selection panel interviews with the hiring supervisor/manager.
9. Keeps abreast of changes in Human Resources-related regulations and trends.
10. Plans and coordinates employee events and activities.
11. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and two years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources administration; or
2. A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and four years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources administration.
3. Valid driver's license.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the area under discussion.
NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and/or graphics.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
OTHER INFORMATION:
Overnight travel is required.
