Your mission:

The Payroll Specialist is to ensure high-quality and accurate payroll services apply to Epiroc business units as well as to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction for all services rendered.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll, weekly and bi-weekly, including expatriate payroll
  • Prioritize and audit time records from various locations, make corrections or adjustments, and process through the full payroll cycle
  • Set up and administer all garnishments and withholding orders
  • Responsible for all payroll activities including compliance with local, state, federal, and global regulations
  • Register with new tax agencies as needed due to new business or new employees, as well as updating UltiPro with new account information, including ensuring every tax agency is set up with a tax filing responsibility and auditing new-hire tax information
  • Ensure that employee tax deductions and change requests are valid and enter changes to tax deductions into the payroll system
  • Stay abreast and advise management of tax changes and/or compliance issues affecting payroll

The ideal candidate:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Payroll functions
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience with processing expatriate and multi-state, weekly, and bi-weekly payroll
  • Proven ability to analyze issues/problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions
  • Understand the perspective of others and be open-minded.
  • Interact and effectively communicate (verbal and written) with employees at all levels of the organization as well as with outside vendors.
  • Adapt to an ever-changing environment, ability to multi-task,results-oriented
  • Take initiative and work independently, lead and inspire others, and work in a team environment.
  • Exercise sound business judgment, and make good business decisions.
  • Travel from time to time (domestically).
